About our Co-Founders
Damian Foxall
Damian has almost four decades of experience in the sailing industry. A legendary offshore sailor himself, Damian has spent his life competing on the water, having accumulated 460,000 nautical miles as a professional offshore sailor – that’s the equivalent of a trip to the moon and back! In his sailing career he participated in over 20 Transatlantic races, 11 around-the-world races and is the holder of numerous world records.
Recognized and respected in the industry, Damian’s interest in sustainability stems from his profound connection to the marine environment, which he has experienced throughout his sailing career. Spending extensive time at sea, he has witnessed firsthand the impacts of environmental degradation and climate change on the world’s oceans. This exposure inspired him to shift his focus towards sustainability and environmental advocacy.
Building from his successful sailing career, he transitioned into working in sustainability to utilize his platform and knowledge gained from sailing to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices, particularly within the marine and maritime sectors.
Damian has a proven track record off-the-water of collaborating with organizations, businesses, and policymakers to promote sustainable initiatives, reduce carbon footprints, and advocate for responsible ocean stewardship. He brings a unique perspective from professional sailing, emphasizing the urgent need for collective action.
